I am planning on researching all aspects of youth culture in Russia at the moment; I am looking at youth TV, fashion, music etc. My intention is to demonstrate modern life in Russia, and give a clear idea of what is popular, what is on now. Probably everything that I am researching now is influenced by other cultures, but has an input from our own culture as well; I find a lot of similarities between Russian and English young people styles of life.As my final outcome I'm going to produce a website, which can be useful for people of different age if they are interested in exploring another culture.

Don't want to start off on a negative note because i like this idea but I don't think you should start off by saying you are still researching! The outcome is going to be a mechanisim for people to understand the things they didn't know about Russia so start with that! Who is the audience? Why do they want this? Are there enough perculiar or interesting things about Russia other people would want to know? I like the idea of finding something out about the culture I wouldn't expect to. Like what do Russian people like to eat and what do they consider fashionable. Is there a Russian Primark? These things interest me more than just representing Russia in a slightly stereotypical way as you have done on the blog before.

Would be really good to know some unusual things, stuff that we would never know about. Are there any wierd and wonderful crazes and/or underground scenes over there? Who hangs out where? What about the political side of things, there is an odd young peoples movement in Russia totally dedicated to Vladimir Putin, what's that all about?! Also Russia is a huge country, how does one end of it differ from the other from a young persons perspective?
